Giles Fry
Hi, I'm Giles and I was brought up in Portsmouth.
I completed a Hospitality degree at Brighton University and then worked in the States for 1 year whilst enjoying drinking in T.G.I. Friday’s. After my time in the states, I came home and got a job with T.G.I. Friday’s for 9 years during which time I managed High Wycome and Enfield. I then opened Bluewater T.G.I. Friday’s and then managed Haymarket. It was here that he met up with Ash. We spent several months working on a business plan hinged around a bar that we would like regularly going to, that offered something for everyone, and had really warm, passionate, charismatic people working there, who made you feel welcome.
After T.G.I. Friday’s, I worked as a regional manager for Coffee Republic for 18 months and ran all of their 70 coffee bars outside London. I got fed up with closing bars and driving all day and knew I wanted to set up my own business, so I made the jump and then the Snug was born! Simple! Two guys, working hard to make their dream come alive.
I can currently be found splitting my time between the Cambridge , Hertford and St Albans bars whilst looking for the next sites to open. |
