There's lots happening at our Cambridge bars over the bank holiday weekend. Firstly, we've got a Sunday Funday at both the Grafton and Trumpington bars on Sunday 5 May, where we'll be serving 2-4-1 cocktails all night. Hertford and St Albans

At the Hertford and St Albans Snug bars you can relax in our lovely beer gardens, and sample our fantastic new cocktail menu and our new food menu. High Wycombe

St. Albans just got bigger…call it festive weight!

That’s right, we have blessed St. Albans with a heated marquee at the rear of the building - and since it's the festive season, we've also magically transformed it into a Christmas Grotto. Not only does this Grotto have its very own cocktail bar at the weekends, but it is available for private hire. So if you want your very own private space in the St. Albans Snug with your own dedicated bar, just contact our St Albans team now.

Hertford is turning 7 this weekend!

The Snug in Hertford has hit the magical age of 7! To celebrate we are having a big birthday weekend celebration with £5 favourite cocktails on Friday and Saturday (1 / 2 December) from 7pm (after 2-4-1 favourite cocktail happy hour ends) and #SundayFunday 2-4-1 favourite cocktails from 3pm until close on Sunday 3 December.

We'll also have some fantastic DJs down on Saturday night (7pm – close) from City Soul playing the best of house, funk, soul and a bit of everything you like to dance to. On Sunday our friends from the Ukulele Big Band will be joining us (6pm – close) for a great night of live music! Follow the event on Facebook for more info, or book your table here.

Movember is almost over….and our faces are itchy!

Today is the final official day of Movember, but we are serving our Movember cocktails (and displaying some of the facial hair) all weekend to reach our fundraising total of £1000. We have currently raised £800 via cocktail sales and donations so why not help us with a final push? Our Winter Warmers are back!

That’s right - The Snug’s Winter Warmers are back and we know you have been missing them! You can now walk in to any Snug bar and smell the glorious aroma of a Hot Snug, be warmed to the core with a Hot Italian Cider, indulge with a decadent Choco Banana Split or just get snuggley with a Winter Woo. All are available from Monday October 29. This November the Snug will grow bro…

No we aren’t adding another Snug Bar - we are actually throwing all of our support behind the Movember UK charity and as such our teams will be sporting some impressive/embarrassing facial hair from November 1. We will be updating everyone about how it's all er, growing via our Facebook and Twitter pages, and if you would like to donate to The Snug team please head over to our online fundraising page. 

We will also be offering some Snug Movember Cocktails. You will see these in bars from November 1 and 10% of the proceeds from each one sold will be donated to testicular and prostate cancer charities.

Our goal is to raise £1000 through growing and making cocktails over the month and we hope you will join with us by donating, drinking and making fun of our faces!

Our 50 Years of Bond £50 Bar Tab winner

As promised, to celebrate 50 years of Bond not only did we launch some amazing cocktails that sold like dry martinis at an MI6 Christmas party...but we also promised a £50 bar tab to a lucky guest. The winner was Roz Stubbs (we will contact you via email to organise your tab Roz!). Winter opening hours at The Snug

The clocks have gone back and the winter nights are closing in, so we have changed our opening hours. All our bars are now open from 9am but don’t worry we still have free toast until 11am, takeaway authentic Italian coffee and a full breakfast menu available.

Christmas at The Snug - just a little bit different...book now!

We do Christmas a little differently at The Snug. Instead of a sit-down, formal meal we offer a wonderful social experience with a fantastic range of hot finger food for your group to enjoy whilst sipping cocktails and having a generally brilliant time.

These hot buffets can be tailored to your budget for the evening and we will let you know exactly what will be on offer before the event - so you can let all your friends and colleagues know what to expect. These magnificent hot buffets start from as little as £5 per head, but can be altered to meet your party’s every need. 

We also offer our full menu, which includes some incredibly tasty mains or our famous homemade British beef burgers, of which we are especially proud. So if you do fancy a sit down Christmas meal without the dry turkey and sprouts...we might just be the place for you!

Your own area

There is also always the opportunity to reserve an area for post work/celebration drinks throughout the Christmas period for your friends/colleagues, giving everyone a chance to let their hair down and have a rather festive knees up. Book your own area now.

Christmas cocktail classes anyone?

If you really feel like shaking up your Christmas party, we run some excellent cocktail classes at The Snug, which have been a hit every year at Christmas. You and your colleagues/friends will get a chance to learn how to make 3 classic cocktails, using the techniques of a bartender. We will also provide a range of sharing platters for your group and your own personal server so you never need to head to the bar.

These classes start from £30 per head but if you fancy a true treat, we have a £50 ultimate master class which includes all of the above but with added burgers and desserts thrown in as well! You can contact us about our cocktail classes here.

There's an 8am? Who knew? Coffee and free toast at The Snug...

From August 24, all Snug Bars will be opening from 8am! Enjoy a lovely cup of authentic Italian coffee made by our fantastic baristas...and help yourself to free toast until 11am, when you buy a coffee. What a perfect way to start the day and/or recover from the night before. And what's more, to celebrate the launch of early opening hours we're even giving away free coffee all bank holiday weekend (24 August - 27 August) between 8am and 9am.

Tropical Bank Holiday Weekend 

With the bank holiday looming, we are planning our annual Tropical Weekend. As well as a Lei for all guests, we will be providing some fantastic £5 tropical cocktails, great music and most of all some good times for all. No matter what the bank holiday throws at us weather-wise, it will be sunny at The Snug all weekend!
